Executive Director
Amy Lapham is our new Executive Director. Amy comes to the Association having most recently worked as a paralegal. She has an undergraduate degree in education. She has lived with hearing loss all her life, and is currently training a hearing service dog.
Administrative Assistant
Kate Doty is retired from the Air Force after 22 years, where she worked in accounting, procurement and military pay. She also retired recently from Finch Paper, LLC, after 20 years, where she worked in the Converting Division and was responsible for all administrative duties. Kate is a 20 year member of the Glens Falls Lions Club and looks forward to being an asset to the Association for the Hearing Impaired.
Part Time Staff
Fabulous Friends Instructors
Cheryl York and Debi Allen are leading the Fabulous Friends with Flying Fingers for the 2008 season. Cheryl is a sign language student at Adirondack Community College and has a great deal of experience in theatrical productions. Debi is a school bus driver who began studying sign language at the Association to be able to communicate with one of the students on her bus. She also has a background in the entertainment business, owning her own DJ service.
ASL Instructor
Richard "Corky" Corcoran is our ASL Instructor for Intermediate ASL. As a member of the Deaf Community, Richard has been a part of the Association's teaching staff for many years and also serves on the Board of Directors.
